Single-Ply Roofing Systems
Single-ply roofing systems typically appear on commercial flat roofs. Roofing materials include thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and ketone ethylene ester (KEE).
TPO Single Ply Roofing Systems (Manufacturer warranted)
TPO membrane roofing is the most prominent type of commercial flat roofing system. A 60 mil, single-ply, TPO membrane roofing system is the recommended replacement for hot tar, hot mop, built-up roofing (BUR) and torch down commercial roofs. Learn more about TPO in our Buyer’s Guide for building owners, managers, public works administrators and architects. Recent GAF® and Firestone Building Products TPO roofing projects include:
PVC Membrane Roofing Systems
PVC’s installation process is similar to TPO, although, PVC roofing holds up better to chemical abuse than does TPO on low-slope roofs. Recent Versico Roofing Systems PVC roofing projects include:
EPDM Membrane Roofing Systems
The popularity of EPDM for new construction has declined with the rise of TPO and PVC roofs. We still encounter it on public works and roof recover projects.
KEE Membrane Roofing Systems
FiberTite® sets the performance standard with its use of Elvaloy® KEE in roofing membranes. KEE is a solid, flexible, durable ingredient ideal in the manufacture of high-quality, long-lasting single-ply roofing. A recent KEE roofing project and our FiberTite Roofing Approved Applicator announcement are:
Metal Roofing Systems
Metal roofs are a unique alternative to single-ply roofing systems. Options include standing seam metal roof systems in a variety of colors and finishes. Our metal roofing buyer’s guide is:
Commercial Roof Cleaning, Inspection and Maintenance Programs
SRC typically checks and cleans commercial flat roofs twice a year, in March and November. Drains and scuppers frequently become clogged with debris and need cleaning. A regular Commercial Maintenance Program can determine the need for updated insulation, as well.
Roof inspections are about prevention and detection. It is important to identify damage to vulnerable membrane roofing systems. TPO, PVC, EPDM and KEE roof punctures can compromise an entire roofing system, including rigid insulation. Alliant Roofing offers Roof Asset management as a premium roof inspection and lifetime management service.
Dedicated Leak Response Division
Alliant Roofing maintains a 24-hour emergency response hotline linked to key company personnel, if your roof requires immediate repairs.
Existing Roof Repair, Recover, Replacement (Re Roof), Demolition and Asbestos Abatement
Roof repairs are cheaper than roof replacements, so proactive maintenance is a wise strategy. Recovering your roof is the next best option, because it leaves the existing roof in place, saving time and money. If asbestos were found, Alliant is fully certified in the Asbestos Abatement programs administered by the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency (SRCAA), Puget Sound Clean Air Agency and the Benton Clean Air Agency.
Manufacturer Warranty Work
Alliant Roofing Company maintains commercial roofing contractor certifications with premier roofing manufacturers, including GAF, Versico Roofing Systems, Firestone Building Products, FiberTite and Metal Sales.
Alliant Roofing Company works with local emergency response crews, typically Servpro® and ServiceMaster®, when same-day response is necessary. Insurance claims adjustors join with ARC and business owners in this process.
